Bedtime Lullaby
(Update 12/1/08: Guess what? Viacom decided to block the above clip. It took them a year. Oh well – it had a good run on YouTube and children all over got to enjoy it while it lasted. )
As 2007 draws to a close, I’ve been thinking about all the cool things that I’ve seen and heard all year. This animation short definitely is one of them. I have shown this to Kai a few times and he loves it. Plus the little one in it reminds of me of him — playful and loves to dream. As featured in Episode 5 of Yo Gabba Gabba. Animation by Lippy and music by Mark Kozelek of Red House Painters. Brilliant!

Cutting teeth
Another milestone yesterday…Kai’s first molars appeared! Four peaks “erupting” through the gums on both sides of his lower jaw. Cute little things but I’m sure Kai doesn’t agree considering the pain that comes with them. His 101 F degree fever this past week makes sense now – a temperature is a common symptom of new teeth according to the baby books. Hope you had a good Turkey Day
Kai helping out with a good Fall chore.
As of late, whatever he sees Mommy and Daddy doing he wants to do it too – like eating Thanksgiving dinner with a fork. People ask us if he’s already talking. Well…he does this thing now where he points at anything that interests him and says (what sounds a lot like), “I see it!”.
